[It's only been a day, but he is anxious to get back to her. He won't say he's desperate to go to the brothel, because that's not the case. He would want her no matter where he found her.

The brothel is it, however, and once he's gathered with his men and orders given for the day, meals taken and a bath, he manages to sneak out once more and go to where he knows he'll find her.

He doesn't take his time. He's at the door as soon as he can and enters as quietly as possible, not wanting to draw a scene. He doesn't stop until he's found her.]

[He returns the kiss in kind, leaning in toward her.]

Now. Did you miss me?

I was too curious to miss you.

[ Honesty is a rare thing in a brothel, though he may as well not take her word for it. ]

Although I hoped you would come, for I did want to see you again.

[His eye searches her face.]

I am glad for that.

[ A slight blush betrays her, despite how composed she seems to be, holding his gaze with a calm, collected gaze. ]

[ Her fingers, burying themselves in his hair, nails dragging lightly along his scalp. ]

[He almost laughs.]

I doubt you are helpless against anyone, let alone me.

Is that your intention, then, to see me happy?

[He takes her hand and draws her up with him to a standing position.]

Would you truly care?

The world is dark and cold.

[ She follows, arms soon moving to embrace his waist. ]

If you can share a laugh with someone, why wouldn't you?

[ Those eyes, clear and knowing and locked on him. ]

Joy softens you. Why not take joy from it? Why not care?

Caring is vulnerability.

[Weakness. He can't stand that,]

What good does it do anyone to feel softly?

Suppose not much at all.

Easier to search for comfort in a brothel. Safer, certainly.

[His jaw clenches.]

Clearly, then, I am wasting my time.

[draconita]

[ A hand cupping his chin, lowering his face to hers. ]

You crave what you crave. You're here. You can allow yourself this moment you made for yourself with me, without lashing out and letting anger get the best of you.

[It's not entirely anger that's getting to him, but the thought of the embarrassment he may face if word gets out.]

[ A soft kiss, to soothe, to put things behind. ]

Will you make me lay in the ground again?

[darotisentys]

[He is mollified, for now.]

This time, we can use the bed.

[draconita]

[ For now. ]

Then take me to bed, sweet boy, and all you want will be given.

[darotisentys]

[He's still at the point where he isn't sure what he wants to be given, but he'll lead her over to the bed all the same. Have her sit on the edge while he removes his boots. It's a start.]

[ While he does that, Alys simply makes herself comfortable, crawling until she can set herself up against the multitude of soft pillows.

Watching him, when he turns, hands resting over her stomach until she extends ones towards him, palm up.

A silent invitation. ]

[He takes her hand and scoots up next to her, resting at her side propped up on an elbow. He's watching her just as closely.]
